Frequently Asked Questions

If you're nearing retirement, turning 65, or are new to Medicare — even if it's 3, 4, or 5 years away — this workshop is for you. It's never too early to start planning. You're also encouraged to bring your spouse or a trusted friend.
Absolutely not. We cannot emphasize this enough — this is a 100% educational seminar. There is no sales presentation, no sign-in sheet, and no pressure to buy anything. You will not be pitched any products at the end. Will's goal is simply to educate you.
Will covers Medicare Parts A, B, C & D, how to avoid enrollment penalties, transitioning from employer coverage, working past 65, Medicare Supplements vs. Medicare Advantage plans, navigating Medicare.gov, comparing Part D drug plans, and a Social Security overview. You'll leave fully informed on your options and timeline.
The workshop is completely free to attend. There is no cost, no hidden fees, and no obligation of any kind. Light snacks and bottled water are provided at no charge.
Registration is encouraged so we can plan for seating and snacks, but walk-ins are always welcome. Registering in advance means you'll receive a confirmation email with directions and a reminder as the date gets closer.
Medicare Supplement (also called Medigap) works alongside Original Medicare and helps pay costs like deductibles and copays — giving you broad provider access across the country. Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare with a private plan that often includes extra benefits like dental and vision, but typically requires you to use a network of providers. The right choice depends on your health needs and budget. Will explains both options in detail at the workshop.
Most people become eligible for Medicare at age 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period is a 7-month window that starts 3 months before your 65th birthday month. Missing this window can result in permanent late-enrollment penalties on your Part B and Part D premiums. If you are still working and covered by an employer plan, different rules may apply. Will covers exactly when to enroll based on your specific situation.
Absolutely. Ace Insurance Agency serves clients throughout Erie County, Huron County, Ottawa County, and northern Ohio. The workshop is open to anyone — attendees come from Sandusky, Norwalk, Port Clinton, Vermilion, Bellevue, Fremont, and surrounding communities. All are welcome.
The workshop includes open Q&A time and Will welcomes questions throughout. If you have specific questions you'd like addressed, you can include them in your registration form. You can also call Will directly at (419) 502-9150 or email wperry@aceinsuranceohio.com.
